Nepal Updates

Finally, Maoists chairman Prachanda is elected Prime Minister of Nepal.

A joint piece on Prachanda by Tilak Pokharel and Somini Sengupta at IHT.

Chitra Tiwari writes on the same topic for the Washington Times.

Meanwhile, Times of London on selection of Kumari. I don't understand why Western media are obsessed with Kumari, so-called living goddess. I think, by highlighting this, they want Nepal to be an exotic place where a girl is worshiped as a goddess.
